Let me first provide some of the important information which might help other people if they wish to plan for a trip to Badami and koodala-sangama
-- How to reach Badami ?
- Badami is around 40 km from Bagalkot, district in North-West of Karnataka. It roughly takes around 40 minutes as the road is not that good from Bagalkot to Badami.
Useful reference - know about Bagalkot
-- About Badami ...
- According to history, it seems that the rock @ Badami was as soft as candle, several years back, during which the famous rock-cave temples have been carved. One needs to take a ticket worth Rs5/- as an entry fee.
Useful reference - know about badami
- There is a Banashankari temple just 4 kms further to the Badami-cave-temples.
-- Experience in the Hotel @ Hubli
You know something ... actually we caught a train, Mas Vasco Express, from Bangalore. Mas Vasco Express left K.R.Puram at around 8PM and imagine at what time it reached yashwantpur ... Oh ... its beyond all the imagination. It took just 2hrs 30 minutes to travel from KR Puram to yashwantpur and the faces of my colleagues, who boarded the train from KR Puram was as-though they had traveled in train for several days without sleep, food ... !!!
Finally, it was around 9 AM when we reached Hubli from Bangalore and rested in a lodge. And, here, we happened to play the game SNOOKER ... , me for the first time though. It was interesting and fun, all of us except one were playing for the first time and the snooker-stick (i do not know the technical name for it), was dancing in all directions, in all possible fashion in our hands ... We, trying to target the ball did all circus except for hitting the desired target. We just not played snooker, but played hockey as well :) , where we scooped the snooker ball, instead of making it up to the target ...
And it was time to attend our colleague's marriage at Hubli ...
We then traveled to Bagalkot where in we attended our other collegue's marriage along with which we had a trip to Koodalasangama and Badami.
--- Our Experience @ Koodalasangama
Koodalasangama is known for its identity where Sri Jagathguru Basaveshwara got his enlightenment and hold his last breath.
It is a nice place which is surrounded by see on 3 sides and with land on the other side. There is a booting facility which costs Rs5 to Rs10 (depends ... ) per head. And another place to see here is the exact place where Jagathguru Basaveshwara went for samadhi sthiti, which is now severl feets below the see level. There is a fine construction made to see this place, though it is few feets below see level.
The next visit was Badami
-- Our experience @ Badami ...
It was a great experience ... We had a train back to Bangalore, suppose to leave Bagalkot at 6:20 PM. It was already around 4 PM when we finished attending our colleague's marriage. We were in the dialamma whether to go to Badami, 2 hrs 15 minutes left for the train ... and it takes 45 minites one way to Badami. However, we decided to visit the place. We rented a temp-traveler (ACE) for Rs 1000 to-and-fro. We (10 people) traveled to Badami at around 4:30 PM.
The next thing is about the monkeys ... each one waiting to grab what ever is there in the hand ... and there was one incident where in one among the team of 10 was very enthusiastic, curious and daring to make a friendship with their favorite ancestor over there ... and tried to make a feature-touch on the back of one of the monkey where the monkey pounced upon .... The "enthusiastic, curious and daring" team member immediately started shouting in panic ... finally nothing much happened and "OUR ANCESTOR" was generous enough to excuse ... quenching the existing enthusiasm and curiosity of our team-mate.
We finally finished watching all the excellent carvings along with Humpty number of photographs. We decided to forgo the visit to Banashankari-Temple as it was already 5:30 PM. And then, it was the task of the driver to take us back, within next 45 minutes, to Bagalkot from where we took the train to Bangalore. But the fact was that the train actually got delayed by 2 hrs and we boarded into the train only at 8:30 PM instead of 6:30 PM ... !
Here are some of the general scenic photos ... that we captured
And i have left the most important and the exciting part of our trip ... the fun, entertainment we had, as a group all along the way, while traveling in train/temo-trax ...
Please wait till the next blog for the fun, entertainment we had .. and other views on the same ...
Till then good bye ...

Is rationalism the solution to all problem.Do all people work based on rationality...
--- Some of the relevant questions that pop up in mind are -
1. Can Life be treated as a Game ??
--- If so, then how to define the winner of the game ??
--- What are the rules of the Game ??
--- Objective of the Game, Strategies of the Game ??
Interesting ... !!! and as we all know, if Life is to be modeled as a Game and defined properly, then that would be the toughest of all today's science and technology.
There are opinions that life is not all about rationality. Everything in life cannot be lead by logic, rationality and analysis. There is more to it like feelings, humor, emotions etc. Let me give more insighted thought for the same.
Many times than not, the strategies that one needs to hold for leading the life, the way he/she desires are out of scope of one's mind where in the mind is stuck in the midst of some their-own-living paradigms, beliefs, ... etc.
--- As one of the famous quote, by Vivekananda, says "education is the manifestation of what we already know".
Finally the blog concludes with:
1. Believe in self, follow carefully the self-conscious. Actually the self-conscious knows everything ..., and we just need to follow and act accordingly. When the self-conscious says no, better you also say no ... and go ahead whenever it says yes ...
2. The problem arises only when we try to go against our conscious which could be due to several external reasons ...
